Back
by popular demand, this decadent indulgence is really more of a confection than
a tarte. Beth's famous flaky pastry (made with pure creamery butter) is baked to
a golden brown and filled with a praline-like filling featuring loads of
southwestern native pecans. So sinfully rich, we recommend at least sixteen to
twenty servings per nine-inch tarte. The smallest sliver is satisfying. Beth's
Pecan Tarte is packaged in a beautiful round wooden box tied with grosgrain
ribbon. It is perfect for the holidays! Give as a gift or keep on hand for
holiday visitors.
Perfect for entertaining!
The
French take credit for this fabulous concoction of almonds, butter, sugar and
eggs, but legend has it that Frangipane, an Itali nobleman in the 16th century
deserves the true accolade.
Beth's Raspberry Frangipane Tarte combines the luscious texture and flavor of frangipane with the finest quality seedless raspberry preserves and just a hint of Kirsch, the delicately, cherry flavored eau de vie and is topped with crisp sliced almonds all baked in Beth's famous flaky pastry. The combination is marvelously rich – a European style flavor fit for a king! Our Raspberry Frangipane Tarte was nominated for "outstanding dessert" at the 1998 International Fancy Food and Confection Show in New York.
Each tarte has a one-week shelf life or will keep for months in the freezer.
